An Epic day of Bordeaux Cru Classe Wines and Gourmet Food

Tuesday 25th of September
Late Lunch - £75 per person   (3pm - 5pm)
Dinner - £145 per person (7.30pm to 11pm)

We have two fabulous events lined up for on Tuesday the 25th of September.  The lunch is limited to 12 people and is effectively a mini masterclass on Bordeaux.  It is designed for those that wish to learn and understand the region in a bit more detail from one of Bordeaux leading figures.

The evening is like all our normal wine dinners -  fun, informative and a celebration of food and wine.

The menu will be released shortly in a follow-up email but remember we can cater for all dietary requirements.

I have known Lionel Dougnac for several years now and his knowledge of Bordeaux is simply incredible and he is one of the best tasters I had ever seen.   Every year at the En-Primeur tastings I learn something new and invaluable.   He is also part of the new wave of Bordelaise that wants to travel and meet consumers outside of France!  A revelation and maybe a realisation that the world needs to fall in love with their wines all over again.

We are in for a treat - we have persuaded him to come to Park House for the day and show us some incredible wines from a forgotten vintage and explain to wine fans of Cardiff what makes Bordeaux so appealing and sexy.

The Wines on show:
2011 Château Haut-Bailly, Pessac Leognan
2011 Château la Mission Haut-Brion, Pessac Leognan *
2011 Vieux Chateau Certan, Pomerol *
2011 Château L'Évangile, Pomerol *
2011 Château Pichon-Longueville Baron, Pauillac
2011 Château Pontet-Canet, Pauillac
2011 Calon-Ségur, St.Estéphe
2011 Château Montrose, St.Estéphe

* dinner only

The wines on show are incredible and come from the leading estates in Bordeaux and we are incredibly grateful for the Lionels support as this dinner would be north of £250 per person if we had to buy all the wine!

Lionel Dougnac Profile
